Do you ever feel lost when it comes to detailing grant program outcomes and assessment methods? This webinar introduces key components and practices of program evaluation that are often used in grant applications. Topics such as logic models, theory of change, understanding data and information, evaluation designs and methods, and process and outcome evaluations will be discussed. Many funders require grantees to conduct a program evaluation to measure the effectiveness of an applicant’s proposed programmatic intervention. For a grant writer, knowing how to articulate a proposed intervention and knowing how the intervention will be assessed are equally important. This webinar will provide participants with a practical understanding of how grant writing, program development, and program evaluation are integrated.

Mr. Jeffrey Winthal is currently the Director of Strategic Partnerships and Foundation Relations at the United Way of Westchester and Putnam. In this role, he is responsible for all grant development and submissions. He has applied for and been awarded various government, corporate, and foundation grants that have included projects in PreK-20 education, community health, mental health and substance use, basic needs assistance, community navigation, and program evaluation. In his spare time, Jeff has been finishing up his dissertation to receive his Ph.D. in Community Research and Action at Binghamton University. He holds a master’s degree in psychology from Iona University and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Manhattanville University.
