Demystifying Budgets: Building Budgets for Foundation Requests

Your budget must be as clear, concise, and compelling as your narrative.  The budget should demonstrate your organization has the capacity to deliver and manage funds. A budget that raises eyebrows or questions is NOT the ticket to success.

Learn from a pro how to build straightforward budgets and what to include in a budget narrative.

Our presenter will take us through the budget-writing process step-by-step with many examples to review.

About our speaker: Lauren Ohlin has worked for non-profits, colleges, and a public school and raised more than $65 million annually.  She was named Sierra AFP Chapter Outstanding Fundraising Professional in 2011 and received the National Association of Federal Education Program Administrators State Leadership Award in 2019.  She has delivered grant-focused presentations both regionally and nationally, including a Budget Seminar at the Grant Professionals Association, GPA, annual conference in 2019.
